Metaverse builders LandVault will mint — and thus monetize — metaverse experiences as NFTs. Its new decentralized protocol Matera will put metaverse builds (e.g. virtual shops, stadiums or any other experience built on virtual real estate) on-chain, offering new revenue, payment and governance options for creators.
Illuvium
- Dec 13
Illuvium launched the Beta version of its second game Illuvium: Overworld. The game will be available on Windows — and Mac in an experimental state — to all users already participating in Illuvium: Arena PB2. Check the 20-min tutorial here.
Co-founder and game director Aaron Wawrick says, “Our mission is to build the first truly AAA experience in the history of Web3.”

- Dec 15
Meanwhile, Binance CEO ‘CZ’ warned staff the next few months could be rocky, after a Proof of Reserves report attracted scrutiny from authorities and industry peers alike. Tue 14 Dec saw the highest amount of 1-day withdrawals (-$3.66b) since June, according to data from Nansen.
